Engagement
A defined examination for material approaching public consequence.
Each engagement is scoped around a specific piece of material, the context it is about to enter and the decision that must be made before release. Scope, turnaround, fee and deliverable are agreed in advance.
Submit materialObject
One defined piece of material or closely related set.
Question
What must be determined before release.
Deliverable
A written Examination Note or agreed determination.
Boundary
No ongoing engagement unless separately commissioned.
Engagement levels
Three levels, selected by complexity and exposure rather than sequence.
Focused Examination
£1,250
For one defined communication and one central question before release. Appropriate for a statement, founder note, sensitive response, speech, launch message or public page.
Outside reading · Pressure points · Second-context readings · Written determination
Pre-Release Examination
£2,500
For a substantial piece of material or closely connected set involving several audiences, interpretations or consequences.
Full Examination Note · Meaning shifts · Evidence · Signals · Consequence · Determination
Critical Exposure Examination
From £5,000
For complex, materially higher-stakes communication involving serious organisational, reputational, strategic or public consequence.
Bespoke scope · Multiple connected objects or decisions · Enhanced exposure analysis
Special conditions
Certain circumstances change the scope, timing or exposure carried by the engagement.
Urgent work
A 48-hour examination may be accepted subject to availability, at 50% above the applicable fee.
Expanded scope
Substantially longer material, unrelated additional objects or scope added after acceptance will be re-scoped and quoted separately.
Beyond standard exposure
Where the matter exceeds the normal Critical Exposure scope - for example, an active crisis, regulatory scrutiny, multiple jurisdictions or tightly connected stakeholder decisions - the process and fee are agreed separately.
Outside scope
DÉPHASAGE does not provide legal, financial, medical or therapeutic advice. Specialist counsel may be required alongside the engagement.
Fees assume complete material and relevant context are supplied at the beginning. Additional objects or significant changes are treated as a new scope.
